Perma-Fix Northwest (PFNW) draft permit renewal

** Comment period extended to March 31, 2025.** Ecology is holding a 45-day public comment period addressing the draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS) supporting the PFNW draft permit renewal.
The permittee is Perma-Fix Northwest Richland, Inc. PFNW is located in southeastern Washington, north of the City of Richland.
The focus of the SEIS is to address additional or new impacts associated with PFNW’s proposal to renew the Dangerous Waste Permit for its Mixed Waste Facility operation that were not considered in the 1998 Final Envirionmental Impact Statement.
The draft SEIS is available for review on the Nuclear Waste Program's Public comment page or on the SEPA register.
