Using the EIM Data Analysis Tool

EIM Data Analysis Tool (EDAT) is an analysis tool for Model Toxics Control Act (MTCA) practitioners and other contamination cleanup professionals. It compares Washington State environmental monitoring data from Ecology’s EIM database against cleanup criteria that are established to protect the health of people and the environment. Results can be exported and displayed on a map to provide a visual perspective of analysis outcomes.

EDAT replaces the MyEIM application. EDAT also contains a MTCA Statistics module, which replaces the MTCAStat 97 Site and MTCAStat 97 Background Excel-based workbook modules.

Key features of EDAT

  • Compare site data to chemistry and bioassay cleanup criteria and background levels.

  • Calculate chemical sums.

  • Map exceedances of criteria.

  • Perform statistical analysis according to MTCA requirements.
