Chapters 173-507, 173-508, 173-513, 173-514, and 173-515 WAC – Instream Resources Protection Program

Ecology is begining a rulemaking to amend five instream resource protection program rules, Chapters 173‑507, 173‑508, 173‑513, 173‑514, and 173‑515 WAC.

Ecology is starting a rulemaking to amend five instream resource protection program rules (aka instream flow rules) in Water Resource Inventory Areas (WRIAs) 7 (Snohomish), 8 (Cedar-Sammamish), 13 (Deschutes), 14 (Kennedy-Goldsborough), and 15 (Kitsap). The intent of the rule amendments is to incorporate only the specific requirements outlined in RCW 90.94.030(4) into rule, harmonize rule language with these changes, and make minor technical corrections. This rulemaking will not reopen or change established instream flows or basin closures for amendment.
