Shoreline mapping

We collect shoreline imagery and conduct regular geospatial mapping of the Puget Sound shoreline. State law requires that we provide the following shoreline data:

  • 360-degree on-the-water photos
  • Georeferenced, oblique shoreline photos
  • A shoreline condition survey dataset

These three types of data will be updated every two years and available through web-based data viewers. The data covers all state inland marine waters including Puget Sound, Strait of Juan de Fuca, Hood Canal, and San Juan Islands.
