Puget Sound Nutrient Reduction Grants Program

In the 2021-23 biennial budget, the state Legislature appropriated $9 million for a grant program to assist municipalities in preparing and planning for future treatment facility upgrades and implementing operational modifications necessary to maximize nutrient removal from existing treatment processes. This grant program will provide affected municipalities with financial assistance to address the Puget Sound Nutrient General Permit requirements.
