Get involved at Padilla Bay

Would you like to join our community of volunteers? We offer many opportunities to support the mission and work of the Padilla Bay Reserve.

Padilla Bay interns and volunteers

The non-profit Padilla Bay Foundation offers student internships for research in the bay, as well as many volunteer opportunities. Volunteers supervise the touch pool exhibit, help with education programs, assist researchers, work on restoration projects, and greet visitors in the interpretive center.

AmeriCorps/Washington Conservation Corps members

Padilla Bay Reserve offers 3 AmeriCorps positions with the research, education, and stewardship programs.

Skagit Stream Team

Volunteers with Skagit Stream Team monitor the water quality of streams and rivers in Skagit County. Padilla Bay has partnered with the Skagit Conservation district to coordinate this important effort.

Salish Sea Stewards

Skagit Marine Resource Committee's Salish Sea Stewards volunteer training program offers approximately 40 hours of training to citizens who are interested in learning about the marine environment and the different volunteer opportunities to help make a difference in your community.
