Updated combined permit coming soon

Ecology is updating and combining this permit with two others (the Fisheries Resource Management and the Invasive Moth Control) into one new Aquatic & Invasive Species Control general permit.

The draft permit documents will be available for review and comment between Dec. 21, 2022 and Feb. 6, 2023.

Ecology will review any comments and revise the draft documents, then decide about issuing the new permit in March 2023.

For more details, please visit our new Aquatic & Invasive Species Control general permit webpage. Note: Please bookmark the webpage, as this aquatic invasive species management permit webpage will eventually go away.

We issue this permit to state government agencies. It allows the treatment of early infestations and small localized projects that may lead to the eradication or containment of invasive species. This includes in-water treatment of aquatic invasive animal species and non-native invasive marine algae.

This permit is a combined National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) and State Waste Discharge General Permit.
