Applicant Workshop
Streamflow Restoration Competitive Grants
Dec. 8, 2023, 10 a.m., Spokane, WA
If your organization is working to improve streamflow and aquatic resources in your watershed, you may qualify for our competitive grants.
The goal of this workshop is to inform potential grant applicants about the process and purpose of the grants. We want to help applicants understand how to be successful during the application process.
This round of grants will provide up to $40 million for projects. We plan to begin accepting applications from Jan. 2 to Feb. 29, 2024.
We are hosting a series of four in-person workshops across the state in each Ecology region, and one virtual workshop on Jan. 16, 2024 for those who cannot attend an in-person session. The workshops are scheduled in November and December.
These grants are highly competitive, and we want to make sure applicants are prepared for the application process. More details about the application requirements can be found on our Streamflow Restoration competitive grants webpage.
The grants will help state and local agencies, tribal governments, and non-profit organizations, implement local plans and projects to improve streamflow and aquatic resources.
Funding is available statewide, but priority is given to watersheds and areas specified in Streamflow Restoration (RCW 90.94). The law invests $300 million over the next 15 years in projects that will help fish and streamflows. Visit the Streamflow Restoration page to learn more about the law and how we are working on implementation.
Please note:
With the recent wave of COVID infections, we want everyone to feel safe and healthy during this event. Facemasks and hand sanitizer will be available for anyone who wishes to use them during the workshop. If you are feeling under the weather or are exhibiting any COVID-19 symptoms, we kindly request that you do not attend the in-person workshop that day. We will host a virtual applicant workshop on Jan. 16, 2024, for those that could not attend in person. Potential applicants may also request a pre-application meeting to discuss their project with Ecology staff and ask questions about the funding opportunity. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
