Chapter 173-167 WAC Emergency Drought Funding (2024)
On April 16, 2024, Ecology adopted a new emergency rule chapter 173-167 WAC, Emergency Drought Funding. This emergency rule describes applicant and project eligibility criteria for grant funds to alleviate hardship resulting from the drought declared on April 16, 2024.
On Aug. 14, 2024, we filed a second emergency rule. The second emergency drought funding rule has been adopted to keep the Drought Response Grant open and will be in effect until Dec. 12, 2024.
Ecology may extend the emergency rule based on evolving drought conditions. If the emergency rule is extended, this website and the grant guidelines will be updated to reflect the extended date to which grant applications may be submitted.
