Water Quality Financial Assistance Council

The Water Quality Financial Assistance Council (FAC) advises and guides us on managing water quality grants and loans.

What do they do?

The FAC provides us with advice and guidance for the effective and efficient administration of state and federal grant and loan programs.

The purpose of the council is to:

  • Provide feedback on initiatives, rule revisions, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Ensure how we administer grants and loans is transparent and supported by our clients and stakeholders.
  • Bring issues of concern to us for discussion and resolution.

About membership

The council is comprised of representatives from cities, counties, tribes, conservation districts, special purpose districts, environmental groups, and state and federal agencies. There are no term limits but we ask members to participate regularly for at least two years and help find a replacement if they can't participate anymore.

If you are interested in becoming a member, contact Shelly McMurry, 564-999-1649

Meeting information

The council meets three times a year, typically in March, July, and November. Meetings are often the third Wednesday of the month.
