Toxics Cleanup

Accidental spills of dangerous materials and past business practices have contaminated land and water throughout Washington. The Toxics Cleanup Program (TCP) works to remedy these situations, which range from cleaning up leaking underground storage tanks, to large complex projects requiring engineered solutions. We also regulate underground storage tanks for pollution prevention.

The Model Toxics Control Act, Washington’s cleanup law, is the engine that powers our work to improve Washington’s environment, economy, and quality of life.
