We regulate the water and hazardous waste activities at the Hasa bleach repackaging plant in Longview.
Facility information
Hasa receives sodium hypochlorite (bleach) in bulk tank trucks, off-loads it to bulk storage tanks, and repackages it into 1-gallon bottles for shipment.
It sends wastewater to the Nippon Dynawave pulp and paper mill for treatment. The mill then sends the treated wastewater to the Columbia River.
