Sonoco Paper Mill
We regulate water, hazardous waste, and cleanup activities at the former Sonoco Products Company paper mill in Sumner.
Facility information
Sonoco ceased production operations on Feb. 1, 2024. This mill recycled paper and cardboard to make about 138 tons of paperboard each day. It treated its wastewater and sent it to the White River.
