Mitigation bank projects
We work in partnership with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to certify and regulate wetland mitigation banks in Washington. Find bank-specific information in the interactive map or the "Approved banks" and "Banks under review" lists below.
Approved banks
These banks have gone through the state certification process and are available for mitigation use:
- Clark County: Columbia River, East Fork Lewis, Terrace
- Cowlitz County: Coweeman
- Grant County: Moses Lake
- Grays Harbor County: Weatherwax
- King County: Keller Farm, Springbrook
- Lewis County: Chehalis, North Fork Newaukum
- Pacific County: Long Beach
- Pierce County: Upper Clear Creek
- Skagit County: Nookachamps, Skagit
- Snohomish County: Paine Field, Skykomish, Snohomish
- Stevens County: Meadowcroft
- Whatcom County: Lummi
Banks under review
These banks are undergoing technical review by the interagency review team and aren't available for mitigation use at this time:
- Clark County: Wapato Valley
- King County: Thom, Port of Seattle
- Kitsap County: Kitsap
- Snohomish County: Blue Heron Slough
- Spokane County: Harris Homestead
